Wayne Gretzky

Wayne Gretzky is a Canadian- born hockey player and NHL Hall of Famer. He started skating at the age of 2 and by the age of 6 he was regularly playing with the older boys. He played his first full NHL season in 1979-80 with the Edmonton Oilers. Over the next two decades, he dominated the sport, setting a host of league records. His nickname is "The Great One". He is called that nickname because he is the greatest hockey player of all time. Gretzky is also the leading scorer in NHL history, with more goals and assists than any other player.
